I have posted the input data to the web. Its ready for direct import to STRUCTURE.

http://www.geocities.com/tjaaehkere/TESTINPUTDATA.txt

Key information when importing:

Number of individuals = 1003
Ploidy of data = 2
Number of loci = 13
Missing data value = -9

Next

Row Markers names = x

Next

Individual ID for each individual = x
Putative population origin for each individual = x

Next

Click Proceed

The data should import and program ready for analysis.

The settings I use are mostly default. Except I am modifying the parameter set.

1. Run lenght: "Length of Burning" = 1000, "Number of MCM ..." = 1
2. Ancestry model "Use Population Information = x"
3. Allele Freq model "Allele Freq Independent = x"

The rest is default settings.

When your satisified with the setting start the job, I typically use K=4 in the jobs. After the job is finished you can view the statistics and the graphical plots.

This is very interesting. It could be useful to post the STRUCTURE
input file(s) on the web so that others can avoid re-formatting the
data from the sources.
