If it hasn't been mentioned yet, an interesting read for pre-Columbian cultural diffusionism is "They Came Before Columbus---The African Presence in Ancient America", by Ivan Van Sertima.

While it doesn't cover the origins of the Native Americans, it does discuss some of the architectural details of pre-Columbian America and offers yet another theory other than Europeans or Extra-Terrestrial.
