The "T." in Booker T. WASHINGTON, the famous African-American educator, stands
for Taliaferro. Booker T. had a white father whose identity is unknown. Now
here's a case where DNA testing could make an interesting connection!

In England, surname TALIAFERRO became Anglicized to TOLIVER.
