Thanks for your reassurance, and for your statement of 'the current
orthodoxy', but clearly Lawrence does not believe it.
Nevertheless, I originally asked for a few reactions, and some of you kindly
obliged. So I am slowly getting the picture.

I am not sure what John meant, Bob. I don't think suggesting that the
Mesolithic male population of Britain was R1b1 will make anyone angry at
you, since that is the current orthodoxy. It seems that everybody and his
brother believes that.
Had you suggested anything else, well, then you would have been inviting
controversy.
