As I mentioned before, it all depends on what question one is
considering. If the goal is the genetic characterization of extant
Levite or Cohen Y-chromosomes then all haplogroups and haplotypes
found in Jewish Levites and Cohens are equally genuine. If one is
interested in "Origins of Old Testament Priests" then the goal is to
determine which of the extant haplotypes were inherited from "Old
Testament Priests", which of them were added later, and which predate
"Old Testament Priests", and hence need to be refined further.
