Peter,

The FBI's 13 CODIS core loci are in FTDNA's Autosomal Panel 1, with two extra loci in the latter. The autosomes are located on chromosomes 1-21, as shown here (http://www.cstl.nist.gov/div831/strbase/fbicore.htm).

For those of your participants who might be interested, I suggest creating a free account with DNA-Fingerprint (http://www.dna-fingerprint.com/) to enter the autosomal and X results. Be sure to include country origin, if known. I've created a spreadsheet that mirrors these autosomal results (http://tinyurl.com/yyzgaa - look under Autosomal DNA Results) but with additional information that I hope will assist researchers.

Thomas Krahn has noted how certain allele values, e.g., TH01=9.3, generally indicate ancestral origin. I'm sure, as the database grows, more information will become available as to other indicators that will do the same.

Cheers,
Ron Scott
