Anne,
Making a comment about this...
If FTDNA sold the markers singulary then they would have to charge for an
extraction if they (the customer) did not have a sample of the person at the
AZ lab. This should still be cheaper then the total panel... I mean they
charge the extraction fee as part of the cost with any first time order ...
I'm sure they figure so much per cost for the markers of a panel.. so, how
hard would it be to figure out the cost of each marker then add the two
together...extraction fee and marker fee...to get the cost....
Even DNA FP charged an extraction fee when we sent a sample to them for a
particular test...and it was our first order for the company...
THat's no reason for FTDNA not to offer them seperately... Just do some math
to figure out if it is cost effective for them... if not then adjust the
price to where it is.. then offer it to us ... no one expects the company to
offer a test that does not offer them a profit...
Just my opinion on the subject

I would

I have had some discussion with FTDNA about this topic, and part of the
problem is that they still have to go through the extraction process, as
your
DNA-FP sample is in Houston and the 38-67 is run in AZ, which means both
places
have to have an extraction.
