I believe Mr. Gatto is or was the administrator of the I1b1b (old I1b2)
Project. His theory certainly deserves a fair hearing, but as an I1b1b
himself, he is not exactly a disinterested party.
I believe I1b1b is the subclade of I that is found mostly on the island of
Sardinia and somewhat more rarely elsewhere in Europe. Interestingly, it is
also found among the Basques, but I cannot recall at what percentage.
