I don't believe the traditional view that the Celts arrived in Britain as
invaders was ever described by any of its advocates as a "take-no-prisoners"
scenario.
The dna data from the British Isles is just that - data. One school of
thought interprets that data within a paradigm of continuity. It begins with
continuity and interprets the data accordingly.
I can see how the very same data could be interpreted to support the
traditional invasion scenario.
Who's right? I guess we won't know that until some real proof is found.
