I agree with you that the theory was not especially
compelling, as I also had the opportunity to read his
theory awhile back. It had little to no information
concerning the complex megalithic structures
themselves - locations, dates of construction, various
types of megaliths (dolmens v. timber circles), etc.
He writes not at all about Nuraghi. Still, I assume if
Wil wants a copy and writes to Mr. Gatto, he can draw
his own conclusions.

AS I revealed my archaeological background to Mr.
Peltosalto in this thread, I should say that I have
participated in excavations of Nuraghi on Sardinia.
It was quite awhile back, however. They are not
believed to be quite as old as structures such as
timber circles and they obviously had a defensive
purpose, though they may have also been used in some
type of ritual fashion as a secondary purpose. Not
much is known about nuraghi and few have been fully
excavated.
