And what about from Malta to Portugal?

The oldest Megaliths are in Malta.

Also, what makes you think the builders did not go extinct? It is
supposed that the meglith builders in Malta basically deforested the
island, over farmed and then ran out of food sources?the population
basically disappeared after that. The Islands were repopulated years
later with a new batch of settlers.
