Bud,
Given what you state, you will most assuredly be R1b. No, you don't have to wait
to join my R1b and Subclades Project. You can join now and when your SNP results
are available, the record in the project will be updated to reflect the
confirmed haplogroup from the SNP test. Here is how to join my R1b project.
-----------------------------------------------
Once you have a personal account page at FTDNA, to join this R1b project
sign/log in to your FTDNA personal account page and click on the blue JOIN
button in the upper part of your personal page screen. On the projects page,
scroll down and find the Y Haplogroup Projects section. Click on the R backbone
haplogroup category. Then click on the R1b and Subclades project link. You will
then see a description of this project. Scroll down to the bottom and click on
the small join button at the bottom of the R1b project description and join
page. That is all there is to it.
