The new edition is vastly different.
The original book, published in 1992, was 320 pages.
The new book, that will be out in about 10 days, will be 472 pages.
The additional 142 pages in the new edition is mostly about the new DNA
tests. Of course, DNA testing did not exist in 1992 so you will definitely
want the new edition.
The new edition contains sensational material in the last 14 pages. I have
discovered four letters written by the great granddaughter of Sally Hemings
which indicate that Good Ole' Tom Jeff had more mistresses than just Sally
and may have had many more children that we don't know about. The letters
suggest or imply that when a slave gave birth to a white baby that had been
fathered by Jefferson, the baby would be given away to a white family for
adoption, with the mother's consent, so that the child would be allowed to
escape slavery.
If true, this means that there could be a large number of more people in
the Charlottesville area in the K2 Group.
