You are correct in that it is your time, and you have every right to
spend it however you like. And I can say with experience that I have
learned a lot while in pursuit of wild geese.
On the other hand, there are folks reading this list who may not have
enough experience to know when something impossible (R1a is a
subclade of R1b, for example) is alleged to be possible. They
deserve to have the record set straight.
