Richard and anyone else wanting the answer to his question,
Fred Willard, Director of the Lost Colony Project lives in the area and said
people should fly into Charlotte and then into Greenville NC. Yes do come,
there is room for all. Roberta is possibly out of contact with getting her
emails right now, so I'm answering your question.

Thank you,
Penny Ferguson

Roberta,
I'm toying with the idea of attending. I don't know NC at all, but I'd
like to learn about the Lost Colony. Also there were some Kenyon/Kenions in
Perquimans and Pasquotank counties, probably before 1700. So I might try to
see if I can make any genealogical connections on these NC lines, even
thought I have no known connection with them.
My main reason for writing is to ask about transportation and thought
you might have some ideas. I'd be leaving from the LA area (preferably Long
Beach, LGB, or Orange County, SNA). I don't know what's the best NC airport.
I guess Greenville is the nearest to Washington NC, but Raleigh might have
more choices. I guess I'll rent a car regardless. Don't go to any extra
effort, but I'd appreciate your gut feeling about which NC airport to
choose. Are there still slots available--even if I wait a few days to make a
reservation for your conference?

Richard R. Kenyon ("Dick")
