Subject: [DNA] mtDNA 16509C at SMGF, but 16519C at FTDNA
Date: Sat, 14 Jul 2007 23:05:43 -0700
My SMGF mtDNA results came back as 16509C and they declined to make a
Haplogroup prediction. However, FTDNA says I'm 16519C and that I'm in mtDNA
Haplogroup H. (H* to be exact.)
First Question: Is this a real difference, or does 16509C at SMGF convert to
16519C at FTDNA?
Second Question: Why does SMGF decline to make a mtDNA Haplogroup
Prediction?
I apologize if these questions have already been asked.
