The the model is only "till death do us part"--after death of a
spouse, people get in line for marriage again. That models the ideal
nuclear family at least. There's also an option for "pan-mictic"
mating, an odd word for anything goes, but that's not very realistic
even among hunter-gatherers or hippies for that matter. ;)
