According to my tables of haplogroup motifs, CRS at HVR1 also defines U,
together with a single coding region mutation, which mens that HVR2 could be
CRS as well. My tabulation doesn't show it actually happening very often,
but unclear why not. I know that in theory you'd always have 263G and
315.1, but in practice not necessarily.
On Sue's question, Bill's point is that in his view, if HVR1 and HVR2 are
CRS and it isn't haplogroup H then it's a common mistake. Noone thinks
you'd toss them out with haplogroup H since again to Bill's way of thinking,
in haplogroup H HVR1 and HVR2 may really be CRS.
