Dear Elizabeth, I apologize if my admittedly, intentionally flippant remarks
were ill-recieved, but I assure you that my goal was not to be uncharitable,
but instead to convey my point via humor. I was infusing `color` commentary
that was intended to focus some relief on the matter addressed, but if it
was percieved by others as deliberately unkind, that was not my intent...

Eric, I suspect that your humour has missed the mark a bit, but any type of
