You spent your own money on _autosomal_ "ancestry" testing. You now see the
flies in that ointment, although it's not clear whether you actually regret
the money spent. (I suppose that can depend on how much disposable income
one has, and just how much curiosity one has.)
I myself immediately perceived autosomal "ancestry" testing to be either
unverifiable (at best) or simply tarot reading (at worst), and did not think
it worth my money.
The primary problem with the article is that it made the fatal mistake of
tarring yDNA and mtDNA testing with the same brush that autosomal "ancestry"
testing deserves.
