Many of " the Great Unwashed" out here have learned to monitor these professional chat areas, and try to learn something. Many of us have learned to share experiences with each other, both real and imagined regarding DNA findings, and, as Dr? Faux says, tend to feed off each other. I am not sure yet, whether I am a shark or a minnow in all this.
?You might think of us as a mutual support group for those deprived of direction.?
?At any rate, we, the Great Unwashed, have paid for services to have our DNA be part of a growing DNA database, for use?by these same professionals.
?Dr Faux, Roberta Estes, Ken Nordvedt and others, attempt to oversee some of those chat areas for these " support groups", and offer very much valued input, and also usually followed by an understanding pat on the back.
?Many of you in this chat room KNOW the Very Vivid Imagination I have on these things.
?I have imagined myself to be the descendant of a Roman Legionaire ( under King Arthur's? Sarmatian Knights, no less) ( DNA Tribes Naples and Illyricum)
?A descendant of the Iceni Tribe of Britain ...?or maybe the Trinovantes...?and also, as an R1B1C10, perhaps a descendant of Svein Forkbeards Army.... so, it IS an adventure... and a continuing mystery. But please remember that those of us out here that looking for our ancestors, are as excited as you,?the professionals. . we are all part of a new way of looking at things.. Genetics, history, archeology... so much is changing, so quickly.
?
At any rate, this is a Thank You, to all of you that offer assistance in those circumstances.
Rich
