Europe has a melting pot? I think quite the opposite. It seems VERY
nationalistic down throughout its history, with all those endless wars...
The EU rose from the ashes of World War II, as you know, and was set up to
end the old hostilities that led to wars and to create prosperity through
cooperation among all Europeans. Not quite a melting pot yet, but at least
no wars among members...

To me genetic genealogy seems a great game, with no losers. Nearly
everyone that plays wins something. What greater way to finance a great
scientific endeavor than to get the public-at-large interested enough to
pay for the data collection, by making it so personal. Sheer genius....
