Subject: [DNA] Press release: deCODEme to offer test of a million SNPs
Date: Fri, 16 Nov 2007 08:04:34 EST

It looks like deCODE (a genomics company based in Iceland, with access to
their excellent genealogical records) is the first to go public with this type of
test. Other companies (23andMe, Navigenics) have also announced their
intentions to offer similar testing to the consumer, although details are scanty at
the moment.

I suspect other stories will appear throughout the day. Here's one from
Forbes, found by searching http://news.google.com for deCODEme:

it's still down from when I bought it].
