I have been aware of my Y dna being in the SMGF data base for some time.
Some posts on this list led me to wonder if my MTdna might also be in their
base. Thanks to off-line help, I was able to find that indeed it was.
However,
it does not give me a haplogroup. I show 29 matches out of 33. The four
that did not match were: 16519T; 00263A, 309.1, and 315.1. Both 309.1 and
315.1 did not show a letter.
I entered the information I had in Mitosearch, U456H, but it gave me error
messages, I assume due to the lack of letters. I searched SMGF using the
Marriott surname and "unknown" as the lab. It came up as the first one
listed and shows CO, MO and KS as states. Any help on what to do next will
be appreciated. Jim
