Thanks Jerry. I too think it needs more attention. I'd love to see some
folks here with E3a matches in England or someplace outside of the US.

This is a topic I have wished for some time would get more attention. I have
opened a Rootsweb group to promote further discussion.
The Ivey/Ivie/Ivy family has one line of E3a Y-DNA, for which the major
question is whether there might be an European as opposed to an early
Colonial America origin. Some of the participants have (vague or
undocumented) family histories of European origin. Other Y-DNA projects have
found similar results, with some having clear evidence of direct immigration
from Europe to the US.
Y-DNA-HAPLOGROUP-E3A.
A mailing list for discussion and sharing of information regarding issues
involving Y-chromosome DNA determined or predicted to be haplogroup E3a and
its subsets (i.e., E3a1, E3a2,...) including relevant queries or discussions
of the genealogical significance making use of related genealogical,
archeological, historical and biological studies or theories.
