I would rather FTDNA design a combination test STR-SNP for
a particular price. The combination now for a 25 marker test
is $148 and the SNP test $78. It would be nice if a
person could get both for about $200.
The consumer would have to pick at least a 25 marker test to start
and once the first 25 marker results are in, the FTDNA would run
the appropriate SNP test. One caveat, is that FTDNA would have
to have all paternal haplogroup primers on hand for these
tests.
Then participants would not have to come back time and time
again to add more tests.
This should not to hard to price point.
