Subject: [DNA] Should I Start an I1AS-7E Project?
Date: Tue, 1 Jan 2008 13:56:20 EST
I'm thinking of opening one at FTDNA and later at Ancestry--perhaps also at
DHAHeritage. Any thoughts on the possible benefits of such a project? So
far, I have only 16, or possibly 17 families in the whole group (the 17th is
a man who was adopted as a child and knows only the name of his biological
father.)
My main reason for hesitation is that FTDNA won't accept results for those
tested elsewhere (like my cousins or the nine families in SMGF's database);
however, it does appear that plenty of space is provided where I could
discuss/post those results if I wish.
Ancestry will accept results from other companies, but it appears I have to
create a new identity each time I post another set of numbers.
I would appreciate any suggestions, especially from those already associated
with Projects at FTDNA.
