I have no doubt the outage is unintentional and that they are doing everything
they can to fix it. The bottom line is that they shouldn't have pulled down the
old site, until they had the new one up and running.

As for whether this should have been mentioned on the list, there are many of us
here who admin projects at FTDNA, and it's helpful to know that others are
having similar problems and how they are dealing with them. It wasn't just the
FTDNA site that was down, Ysearch was down, and that affects not just FTDNA
clients, but many other researchers as well. If you aren't interested in this
thread, please just hit your Del key.

And please make your complaints to or about other members privately, offlist.
If you think a thread is off topic, please contact the listadmin privately,
offlist. It's the prerogative of the listadmin, not the subscribers, to declare
a member out of order or a thread off topic.
