Ian,
I have not yet received my raw SNP data from deCODEme (I expect to do so in
a week or so) but I was very impressed by the report provided to me by
deCODEme on their web site. I have had extended testing (autosomal, BGA,
FGS) by a number of labs so I think I have a good basis for making
comparisons. I really like the deCODEme "by chromosome" graphical
presentations of relationships between two persons or a person and an ethnic
group.
I think there is a very big future in genetic genealogy for this type of
testing. Particularly if it is used in conjunction with STR analysis. Ann
Turner and I have done a number of comparisons with our data we have
received so far and a report is being prepared. Once we get our raw SNP
data we will obviously be able to conduct far more analysis.

List

A few list members have been genetic pioneers and had many hundreds of
thousands SNPs tested by deCodeMe.
But what do they make of their results? And are they looking for things to
do with their results ?
