Ken,
I often download part of a project spreadsheet as follows:-
Go to the project that you require data from.
Display the spreadsheet by using the Y-Results button.
Click on the first record you require, then holding down the shift key, drag
the mouse down to the last record you require.
Ctrl-C to copy the data.
Open a new worksheet in Excel
Right click in the first cell
Select 'Paste Special' and 'Text'
The data appears in the new Excel spreadsheet

Explain. I have never seen a button or otherwise allowing only part of a
project spreadsheet to download?
