I am not sure what you are asking, but for
people interested in DNA repair, here are
some URLs with explanations for non-scientists.

This is an older article on DNA repair from the

One of the most interesting diseases to study
that involves a recessively inherited gene abnormality
is Xeroderma Pigmentosum in which the skin cannot
repair DNA damage by the sun and children must live
in the dark or else they will die of skin cancer. The
Xeroderma Pigmentosum Society even sponsors
a Camp Sundown in Poughkeepsie, NY.

DNA repair abnormalities in these patients is explained
