Ethnoancestry has now had my brother's sample I1b1 (P37.2+) - ysearch 36Q9Z - for P41 testing for four weeks exactly. They estimated up to eight weeks for testing. Hopefully others have also sent for the P41 testing to see if we can use it as an SNP. There are still no matches on FT DNA (or Sorenson or Ancestry or Oxford Ancestry) for this sample (67 markers have been completed plus subclade testing). Blood of the Isles database (Sykes) the closest to me is three steps away on ten markers. With DYS388 = 11 we are an anomaly I suspect. On paper this family line was found at Upper Clatford, Hampshire, England from 1757 to the mid 1900s; at Andover, Hampshire, England from the 1500s to 1757. Possibly this family links back to the Blake family at Calne, Wiltshire where they are found back to the 1200s on paper (still working on that proof). My 4x great grandfather was an only child as was his father so it has been possible to trace down most of the
descendants at least to the early 1900s. My brothers are the only living direct male line descendants of my great grandfather. The Blake DNA study at FT DNA shows I1a5, R1b1c, J2 and C3 plus our I1b1. The study is up to 14 on FT DNA.
