My own sheet of R1b1 modal haplotypes shows one called Eastern-1 with 28 at
389ii, 10 at 391 14 at 393 and 12 and 392

With the way that DYS389 is reported, wouldn't it be significant whether
DYS389-1 is 11, 12, or 13? Of the roughly 100 participants in the
O'Donoghue surname project with 28 at DYS389-2, there are two 12's and five
13's. In the Breifne Clans (which includes Donohues amidst the 200 odd)
there are two 11's, four 12's and six 13's (one overlap). In the Ireland
R1b1 Project (2882) there are 205 with 28 - seventy-four 12's and one
hundred twenty nine 13's. Are there similar or other differences in the
haplotypes you reviewed, Martijn?
Is there any tentative haplotype modal for Eastern R1b1c beyond the 12 at
DYS393 that I've seen recently mentioned? In the Ireland R1b1 Project there
are eighty 12's at DYS393 - less than 3%.
