There is not what I would yet consider a robust extended modal
haplotype for eastern R1b1c (i.e. ht35).
The only commonly tested markers that are both stable and are
effective at distinguishing ht15 (Iberian R1b1c) from ht35
(southwestern Asian R1bc) are DYD393 and DYS461. There are a couple
of palindromic markers that show some promise at helping distinguish
the two types, but we are still in the process of testing them.
There are a few populous clusters within ht35 with other distinct
markers, but these can usually be traced back to a recent founder and
are not representative of eastern R1b1c overall.
I think it will come as no surprise that the genetic distance between
the ht15 MRCA and the ht35 MRCA does not appear to be very great.
