It has been suggested that a group of M269+ S116- S21- haplotypes get
themselves tested for S3, S10, S13, S17.

In the current tree, they are considered equivalent to M269. However,
based on past discussions about these markers it is unlikely they
have been thoroughly tested.

If they are NOT equivalent, the M269+ S116- S21- crowd may be the
ones to break the equivalency. If the equivalency can be broken, then
R1b1c gets a new upsream differentiating SNP. If the equivalency can
not be broken, a few R1b1c pioneers get to part with some money in
the name of science.

Unfortunately, these are not just Custom SNP. They are double-custom
SNPs, which means that the people who test them need to bear the
development cost of them. So I am willing to co-ordinate a group
order in order to drive the per-person cost as low as possible.

The order will be open to anyone, not just the S116- group, though I
feel that any S116+ or S21+ people will probably be wasting their
money. Still, I won't prevent anyone from ordering. In the past John
McEwan suggested that we get a some R1b1b and R1b1*, which I think
would be a good idea if people are willing.

Even with a moderate sized group, the cost is going to be relatively
high (perhaps up to double the normal cost of custom SNPs at EA) and
there are four of them. Obviously, the more people who are willing to
test these the cheaper it will be.
