Hi Peter,

For mtDNA it is about whether or not you are willing to do the work.
Most research of female ancestors is that way. It requires more
searching to find a corresponding test candidate. I think my female
lines are worth that. They and women in general are worthy of
genealogical research.

I still do not have a genealogically relevant match on any of my yDNA
kits..... The relevant other post brick wall male lines seem to have
died out. So it cuts both ways there too. I am willing to wait. I have
spent thousands of hours in research. I do not count my time cheaply.
If an mtDNA test or yDNA test saves me even a twenty hours of time in
worthless searches on mismatching families then it is worth it.
