I strongly agree with you on DNAtribes my first test was 15 marker and it was way off giving me a strong african background and a smaller european.
Compare against my y and mt dna test giving me haplogroup y R1a and MT H was laughable so like you went for the 21 marker test. Suddenly africian ancestory wasnt there but replace with stronger dutch, british middle eastern and some north indian. Had the May update and that strengther north india and reducing northern ireland in the top 20 ancient results. Very strong latin diaspora results but that could be through the H haplogroup.
Being british for generation had the europa additional test and that give me norse, celtic, germanic, italian and balkans. So it does go with the R1a and H expected areas for europe.
Thanks
Darrell
