A very very sad day for our community. Heartfelt sympathy to Leo's family.
I do want to note that Leo left a legacy in addition to the various
utilities he created. He discovered of the SNP that became known as "the
Little SNP", L1, null 439, and when sequenced by EA, S26. This is an
important SNP downstream of U106/S21. I do hope that this SNP will become a
routine part of the testing of all R1b1b2g by academic and commercial
interests, and that all other denominators be dropped in favor of L1 to
offer a memorial to the contributions of Leo.
Leo was a kindred spirit - with the emphasis on kind.
