You might look at Jenny X93335 and also D38113 because some of
the chimps' HVR1 mutations line up with human HVR2 at 87% with
4% gaps. One of the chimps has the equivalent of a 309.1C and
the other does not. Both seem to have the 263G.
Jenny seems to correlate better with the L2B2 or L2B3 subclades from
'The dawn of human matrilineal diversity' in this part of the HVR
than other human subclades though I have only checked the HVR
that your analyser has already calculated. I looked at the HVR2 in
the human from 1 - 561 to get the closest alignment with the chimps.
I was expecting the HVR to be more divergent. I suppose parts of it
are quite different since there is no alignment in some areas. Having no
chimp equivalent matches to compare to our HVR1 makes it no fun
for most people, but I thought Jenny was quite interesting in her
HVR that did line up with more ancient subclades of human HVR2.
