Let me clarify a few things - I have had some e-mails in regarding
my comments above.
1) I have * no * known Vlach ancestors - my mtDNA line as
many of my other ancestral lines can be traced back to 1500-1600s.
I mentioned the Vlach possibility in order to be *objective*.(My mtDNA line
is in fact from north western Greece )
2)Looking at my mtDNA matches there is another scenario that of the
ancient Greek colonization of the black sea area.
