Bonnie,
This J1 cluster that Anatole is talking about is a large, apparently,
"Jewish cluster" (many haplotypes appear to be Jewish"). Last year I
sent you a network diagram showing this J1 cluster. It was a group of
haplotypes that stood well away from the main body of J1's. The main
body of J1's included the CMH-12. This cluster of J1's was defined by
DYS390=25, DYS393=13, and DYS439=10. There were two subclusters
actually. One defined by DYS385b=18 and the other by DYS385b=16. I had
a total of 497 (12 marker) J1's haplotypes then and this J1 cluster
Anatole speaks of had 50 haplotypes (~10%, as Anatole indicated). I
will send you and Anatole a jpg copy of the J1 network diagram in a moment.
