Subject: [DNA] What is the longest, mtDNA comfirmed, matrilineal line?
Date: Sat, 2 Aug 2008 01:13:39 EDT
My Dad traces his mtDNA line back for 13 generations. He belongs to
Haplogroup H1. He matches a woman from British Columbia and they each go back to Marthe
Lenoir-Noel who married Francois Toureau before 1599 in France. Their
daughter, Francoise Toureau, married Jacques Archambault on 24 Jan. 1629 in
Lardilliere, Parish of Dompierre-sur-Mer, France (near La Rochelle). They settled in
New France and were both buried in Montreal.
