Subject: Re: [DNA] What is the longest, mtDNA comfirmed, matrilineal line?
Date: Sat, 2 Aug 2008 10:22:50 EDT
Dear John,
The most recent common ancestor that I know of between my Dad and the woman
from British Colombia is Marthe Lenoir/Noel. I only listed her daughter
Francoise Toureau, because I had a better location and dates for her. Also she was
the person to travel to New France. I'm sorry for the confusion. There is
however a high probablility that they both descend from Francoise Toureau as well.
At the time when I was communicating with the lady that matched my Dad, I
sent her his mtDNA line of ancestors. I asked her if she shared any others. She
didn't answer my question then.
I sent her an email this morning asking her if she knows who the most recent
common ancestor is between them.
Their results can be seen at Mitosearch - kits 56YJU (Dad's) and Y5VN3.
Their results are also posted at The Clan of Hope.

If I do receive a response, I will share it with you.
