------------------- My response:
I disagree that generally everyone who will order deep SNP testing has. I
know that many (including myself) are still waiting on deep-clade testing
results from the labs. I don't defend the labs so I don't know if it is
tremendous demand or processing issues. I suspect demand has been high.
I can tell you, anectdotally via my conversations and readings, more people
than ever are interested in deep SNP testing. I think the education of the
value of SNP testing is just starting to hit. The leaders have been engaged
in deep-clade testing for some time, the early adopters (like myself) are
the current wave. The masses haven't begun yet (the unwashed masses are
just hearing about this on the media). I think we will see a day where
haplogroup predictors and high level haplogroup indicators are commonly
discussed and dismissed the way we look at "bikini haplotypes" today. Deep
clade testing won't even be considered the "gold standard" to strive for...
it'll just be the "bronze" (play on the new stone age.. lol) medal to get in
on the platform.

Still, this does not alter my general point that people seem to have either
ordered SNP testing by now or have no intention of doing so.
........
I know from reading posts here and on other forums that there are many SNP
tests that have been delayed what seems to be an inordinate amount of time.
