John neglected to emphasize, and Dave failed to observe, the fact that
DYS452 needs to be translated from the above value when entering in
Ysearch. Entering a "30" instead of the corrected "11" is a toxic
error, since it adds 19 to the calculated genetic distance of anyone
who is actually closely related and happens to have a result for
DYS452. Fortunately for Dave, this error does not usually matter
because most people in Ysearch don't have results for this marker.
Still, it would be a pity to miss out on any real match.
Also, I see that John left out the result for GATA H4 that SMGF
reports for Dave, but which Dave failed to include when he posted
his supposed 42-marker haplotype here. Dave's result is 11 in
FTDNA nomenclature and should be entered in Ysearch "as is".

Note that 5D5SY has H4=12, and so is not quite a perfect match on
the 21 available shared markers.
Further note to Dave: you still need to take out the result for DYS455,
which SMGF has not reported for you yet.
