Ken, thanks for the follow up response.
I admit that my introductory message, the subject as I have been around for
other subjects, could have been taken as inflammatory.
Yes there are numerous "nature -versus-nurture verbal wars and political and
cultural warfare on the subject. I do not care to participate in arguments.
I do care about knowledge based genetic studies free of all those battles.
My intent was to find if anyone here was knowledgeable of such studies which
I know of a few out there but not in the context of a web discussion group
of people into genetics, genealogy and particularly using DNA.
I can see keeping verbal wars off the list as they are very destructive but
do not understand why asking questions about any genetic connection is not a
valid topic as long as it is based on sound studies of genetics and aspects
of genealogy. I admit this can be a sensitive topic and easily carried into
warfare but that is not my intent. I am not some young kid out to cause
conflict in groups for cheap thrills just a 71 year old who is still
curious and would like more knowledge before I die.
