I think I will let someone else take that bullet.

We proved that one line did not have the historical surname. The NPE
occurred about 1750 in Amelia County, VA. It was published in the memoirs of
a preacher in 1895 in Rutherford County, NC. Researchers claimed that he did
it out of jealousy. It was alluded to in a Texas newspaper article about a
couple who were married in Rutherford. It said that they were not related,
even though both had the same surname.

Yet, our proof of the NPE shocked a prominent family in CA. The participant
received a lot of criticism for his participation in the project. His later
stroke was blamed on his participation and the aftermath.
