Subject: Re: [DNA] What are the most common reasons for another sample?

I posted before I read the new instructions. They seems a bit more rigid
that a few years ago. It would appear my hubby wasn't as careful as he should
have been the first time. Plus there are three scrappers instead of two.
Thanks for your comments.

there are many reasons for a new kit, has nothing to do with the 25 years.
Has to do with the specimen. I have been told different things can effect
the saliva, smoking before the specimum is taken chewing gum... eating..
brushing your teeth.. anything that would lessen the amount of loose skin
cells in the saliva.
then there are other reasons like my sons who had to have multiple tests
run to verify the results because his results were not common...
It really is no big deal if your not paying for a new extraction..
