Dear Ken,
All of the estimates I gave in my last message are intraclade TMRCA
estimates. Yes, they are coalescence age estimates. I agree with Steve
Bird that these two terms can be used interchangeably. You and I use
exactly the same methodology for intraclade estimates except for some minor
differences regarding which markers are included in the analysis. An
earlier version of my intraclade TMRCA estimator program is still at
http://www.timjanzen.com/dna.html where it has been since April 2008. Your
generations4 program uses the same methodology.
