With regard to Nelda's question about naming Family Finder Projects, using the name of a very remote ancestor, say 8 to 15 generations back, would probably imply to most participants that they needed to have a segment of DNA from that remote ancestor. DNA from that very remote ancestor in living descendants would occur at low frequency compared to more recent ancestors. As pointed out by others, the lack of an identifiable DNA block associated with an ancestor is not evidence for a lack of descent.
My current thinking is Family Finder projects might be suitable for identifying all the descendants of a pair of 3Ggrandparents.
